Single Service

30 March 2021

Theres no room for anyone else when the only person you serve is yourself… *mic drop* finally new blog done, peace i’m out.

Nah I kid; It’s been awhile since the last post but here we are, enriched with new ideas and thoughts (quite the opposite actually more like strolling struggle street). One in particular that’s be brewing is an another cliche iteration of the saying “there’s two kinds of people in the world” - Those that serve themselves, and those that serve others.

We can get so caught up in our own little world trying to chip away at our goals and be the next best thing that we forget that the only person and/or thing we’re giving a f**k about is ourselves. That’s fine, safe to say that’s even been me for the last couple of months only it can get quite lonely. So I took a step back, gained some perspective, and went for a run.

There’s some people however who have yet to go “for a run” let alone walk. They’re in 5th gear as if they’re there to stay and they’ve put their penny in now looking for a pound. Prepared Do this, get that, move here, buy that; And this isn’t to impress anyone it’s for their own good or to resemble something of a milestone. I admire the tenacity that goes with this because they live beautiful fulfilling lives it’s just that they have yet to realise that the only person they are serving, is themselves.

I’m not talking about they don’t fight for a cause or give to charity, if anything it’s the opposite. If and when they do it’s done with that same sense of drive. Only when everything you do looks like an avalanche people don’t often like to stand there with you as rip a hill side a new a**hole. Some people might… but some people, just want to watch the world burn. So as you might see a practical use of dynamite to clear a mountain from a build up of snow; they see big boom! Other than that you don’t exactly allow yourself to hold hands with someone, maybe laugh with them as you pretend to be evil villains in a comic book or explain why you’re doing it before careful handing them the trigger so that they get to have all the fun despite the hard work you just put in preparation.

Even if what you’re serving up is a plate of the most wholesome sh*t, regardless how good it looks nobody will have any if you cant get up off your high horse. It’s the most independent, hard working, inspirational people that are often incredibly attractive, mind blowing aaaannndd so lonely. After all theres only room for one at the top so we drift back and forth between wanting to be a Bonny and Clyde or King Arthur.
