There's No Shortcuts

Anyone noticed the excessive amount of “Consultant” ads? It’s like an influx of Tai Lopez students that all decided to do the the same thing he did OR it’s they sell these “online marketing strategies”. Were they talk about how “YOU” can have a six figure income “LIKE THESE PEOPLE” followed by the usual line of “IF YOU FOLLOW THESE 3 SIMPLE STEPS” that you wait to hear (because they say that they’ll tell you) but instead have them eventually confess that you have to buy their “course” that’s on their website with a stupid name like signclients.com … Well F**K!

Recently I hit the peak of my tolerance, after watching the first few seconds of one ad titled “Why I dropped out of high school” . That’s right, a 17 yr old telling me how he earns “x” amount and with his newfound wealth dropped out of high school… COME ON! Well after ranting on instagram and had someone tell me that I should write about it. So after that long intro, let’s talk about the worst part about these ads and something that i think you should keep in mind when watching them.

The worst part.

You have some random guy telling you that you’re going about life and the way to earn money is all wrong, at first you think “what do you know?” but then they start pulling stats and numbers as you start to think.. “Maybe he’s right”.. Nope, not at all. So the worst part about these ads is that they make it seem like it’s not only the easiest way to earn money but it’s the only way, as if you’re an idiot if you think you can have a life selling Smurfs.

My point.

Chase the dream and the money will come, not the other way round. If you want to be a surgeon, regardless of your income don’t drop out of highschool! I know nothing about being a successful surgeon but i’ve met people are trying to be and not only do they work incredibly hard but they are also really f**king smart! And with the foundation highschool gives you i’d imagine it be at least a little bit easier having completed it.

These guys talk themselves up so much by sell the idea of earning all this money and being able to travel, to the point that you almost forget that you also needs to have some kind of purpose in life… I have no doubt there are many passionate people who actually want to sell ads and consult businesses/people and if you end up finding success in that great! Just don’t jump on the internet claiming it to be the holy grail of careers.
